Production of Tailored Strips: Coils are welded together
Two become one: to produce tailored strips, two or three coils of different grade, thickness or finish are welded together. The individual slit coils are first downcoiled and leveled on separate machines. This is followed by edge preparation. These processing steps in particular guarantee high performance and supreme quality.
The slit coils are then joined by laser welding in a single pass on two welding tables. Depending on your requirements, the tailored coil can then be rewound or cut to length on a guillotine shear.
