Together we are strong. Our own equipment and process development department works together closely with development partners in other parts of the Group, such as the laser experts at ThyssenKrupp Lasertechnik, to find innovative solutions to even the most unusual customer problems. With such competent advice at hand, our equipment is subject to a continuous improvement process, as demonstrated by our regular equipment innovations.
One of our latest developments is the laser decoating unit, our answer to the growing interest of vehicle manufacturers in hot forming. The decoating unit allows the removal of the AlSi (aluminum-silicon) coating in the weld area under production conditions. The only unit of this kind worldwide is located at our Duisburg site (Germany).
