Our customized parts made of steel or aluminum make cars lighter. We invented the first Tailored Blank and laid the foundation for many other innovative Tailored Products – such as laser-welded blanks, coils and tubes – over 30 years ago and are still the market leader in the field.
Tailored Products are made of individual sheets or coils of different material, thickness and coating which are joined together by laser welding. The parts combine maximum safety requirements with economical lightweight construction: They are strong exactly where they need to be, and with their lower use of material and lower weight on the scale, provide the same or even improved functionality.
Lightweight, cost-saving and functionality: We keep all this in mind when we develop components and adapt to the needs of our customers. Long before a model goes into production, we determine the specific requirements and develop the ideal solution based on this. But we can also optimize a lot in ongoing series, and are always open to our customers' requests.
